The third iteration of Skoda Octavia is being prepared for the debut
next year and here is the leaked CAD model of the car’s headlamp.
The new Skoda sedan will replace the Octavia II which is sold as Laura in India. Surprisingly the Czech manufacturer didn’t take much of an effort to disguise the test mules and i have already posted two vedio's of test mules from the highways of Poland and Czech Republic.
Autoforum.cz has managed to acquire a CAD drawing of the new Octavia’s headlamps reportedly from an automotive lighting company which is responsible for supplying the headlamp units to Skoda. It’s learnt that the entry level Octavias will make do with the halogen bulbs while the better equipped versions will receive HID bulbs. The cars also get DRL.
The new car has a slightly wider stance and the headlamps are narrower and sharper. The lower air dam and the fog lamps are expected to undergo change of shape. The rear of the car looks less bulky than the current model and the shape of the tail lamps are concealed by red camouflage, but it’s clear that the new tail lamps are sleeker than the Octavia II.
The 2013 Skoda Octavia looks much sharper and much more modern than the present car and aligns itself in line with the new family look, trailor-ed by the MissionL and VisionD Concepts.
The car is expected to make its debut in Geneva motor show next March but the online revealing could happen much earlier.
