Even though this may not be on many of our shopping lists this festive season, we love writing about exotic cars and their features.
Talking of which we have some news on a special edition Jaguar XKR sportscar available in the convertible and coupe forms, that has just been launched in India. The ex-showroom price of the special edition starts at a lofty Rs 1.27 crore (Mumbai pre-Octroi).
We warned you!
Enhancing the hand-crafted interior of the XKR are discreet changes such as scraffito grain leather on the seats, instrument binnacle, door and rear quarter casings, and Poltrona Frau leather headlinings. Jaguar have also supplemented a new interior colour, Shadow Walnut, exclusive to this car.
The interior is richly furnished with 16×16 way heated Performance front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry/start, a 525W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, unique treadplates and stainless steel pedals.
Body paint palette includes Celestial Black, with Crystal Blue, Lunar Grey, Polaris White, Rhodium Silver and Ultimate Black and a new 20-inch arona wheels with polished alloys.
The mechanical package remains untouched with the same 5.0-litre direct-injection V8 petrol engine sitting under the bonnet making 510PS. It is driven via a six-speed automatic transmission that offers manual driver control via steering-wheel mounted paddles.
