Maruti's yet another hatch under Nexa.

The Ignis which comes from present car manufacturer Suzuki, will make its India debut on 13 Jan 2017(expected). The car was first showcased as the Suzuki iM-4 concept at the 2015 Geneva Motor show and later unveiled at 2015 Tokyo Motor show. Expected price range of Ignis is 5-7 lacs(ex showroom Delhi)







Exterior:

The minimalist body consist of plain surfaces and round roof with straight lines that give it a distinctive stance. The proportionate tyres jutting out at four cornrers firmly support the body and hint at the cars muscular look. Dramatic features such as the front faascia with its sunglass-clad look, the shell like roof, and the slits at C-pillar accentuate its exterior. The Maruti Ignis will measure 3700mm in lenght, 1660mm in width, 1595mm in height, 2435mm in wheelbase and 180mm of ground clearance  with add on bonus of LED daytime running lights.






Interior:

The Ignis will get typical Maruti Suzuki black interiors with silver accents. The interior quality will be very similar to that of Swift in india. The car will get automatic climate control , a modern touchscreen smartplay infotainment system equipped with USB and BlueTooth connectivity , reverse parking sensors and multifunctional steering wheel. The Ignis will be very similar to Swift in terms of equipment .


Engine and Gearbox:

The India bound Ignis will receive the 1.2litre K-series petrol engine and 1.3litre DDiS diesel engine with 5 speed gearbox. The petrol engine makes 83bhp and 115Nm of torque while the diesel engine makes 74bhp and 190Nm of torque. it may get optional  CVT gearbox too.

Competition:

In terms of competition it will directly go up against rerntly launched Mahindra KUV100.

  1. it will be strong competetor fir kuv but not expecting so much competition for other brand due to typical tall boy type design. will not be so much luxurious as per my verdict
