Nissan TEANA 2012
Nissan’s D segment car, the Teana, has received a subtle facelift in Japan. The changes are so extremely subtle that you need a magnifying lens to spot the differences. The easiest to spot are the new alloy wheels and redesigned tail lamps.
The projector lamp on this facelift is picked out of the facelift of the Chinese Teana launched last year. Nissan offers a special Teana Axis bodykit as an option. This bodykit changes the look of the front grille and bumper. It is designed by a company named AUTECH from Japan
In the new lineup, there is an additional variant called the 250XL sporty selection. This variant comes with redesigned 17-inch alloy wheels, Black interiors, black-tinted grille, leather-trimmed doors, Carwings navigation system, leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, leather-wrapped gear knob, leather seats and side sill protector.
The most important change in the facelift is the display’s shift to white text and the addition of two new body colours, blue steel and pearl white.
The new Nissan Teana comes with two engine choices, a 2.5 litre V6 that makes 182hp/232Nm, and a 3.5 litre V6.
The Teana will not complain if it is endowed with these upgrades here in India. The car is assembled at the Chennai plant with components flown in from Japan. We hope to see the Teana facelift in India during the festive season or early next year.

Amazing Work by D.C.
DC Designs is known to convert regular humdrum cars into something that can not only get second looks but also polarize opinions of masses. The new project undertaken by DC Designs converts a Tata Winger 8 seater van into a palace fit for a king. The Winger is a rebadged previous generation Renault Trafic van
As one can see from the exteriors, the Tata Winger has gone through a very aggressive transformation.
The Tata Winger Executive Van gets an all-new front and rear fascia, new dual barrel headlamps, new front bumper with incorporated foglamps, and a new hood with a ram air scoop. The side profile reveals sporty alloy wheels. Even the sliding windows have been replaced with fixed ones.
At the rear, we can see new tail lamps and tail gate mounted spare alloy. Overall height of the vehicle has been increased to provide more headroom for the passengers.
The exterior transformation is not even remotely as startling as what’s in store on the inside. The interior has been designed to accommodate just 4 people in utmost comfort instead of 8 in the regular version. The interiors feature:
- Laminated wood accents
- Plush carpeting
- Powered curtains on windows
- Leather seating
- Four powered captain chairs
- 26″ LCD televisions
- DVD player
- Two component speakers
- Driver communication intercom
- 12 V refrigerator

Force Motors One 4x4
Force has got it right with the One! It’s spacious, offers a gamut of features and a good ride and handling pack. The Daimler sourced 2.2-litre common rail engine with 141bhp on tap is also super smooth and offers ample power and torque. The only thing missing right now is a 4wd system. Come 2012 however the company will be offering a 4WD version of the One. A Borg & Warner system will be deployed where modes can be switched by flicking a button. It will also offer a low ratio combination making it a competent 4x4.

BMW New 3-Series Review
The
sixth generation of the 3-series adopts the new family face and its
extended wheelbase will surely help liberate more space inside – one of
the few sore points of the current 3. It also gets a full colour HUD,
which displays speed and navigation information. The new 3 now gets the
option of an 8-speed automatic across all versions. There are new
engines too: for the 320i, there’s a 2-litre turbocharged engine that
makes 180bhp. The same engine in the 325i will produce 210bhp and 245bhp
in the 328i. The top-of-the-line petrol, the 335i, will get a
turbocharged inline six with a staggering 306bhp on tap. Among diesels,
there will be a 184bhp 320d, a 204bhp 325d and a 245bhp 330d, all being a
2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged mill. It’s a shame that the
six-cylinder diesel is available only on the coupe version of the 3.
Start-Stop technology is now standard on the new 3, and one can
reasonably expect more EfficientDynamics features on the higher-end
variants.
Specs (Speculated)
Engine: 2.0-litre 4-cyl petrol, 2.0-litre 4-cyl diesel, 3.0-litre 6-cyl petrol.
CarWale's Words: The new 3-Series addresses the outgoing model’s shortcomings while getting better at the things it does well – the competition will surely have sleepless nights!

LAND ROVER EVOQUE
British carmaker Land Rover has pulled the wraps off the latest SUV
Rover Range Rover Evoque today. Launched just after Diwali, this SUV
might not attract many buyers. However, Land Rover Range Rover Evoque
priced at Rs 44.75 lakh is so costly
that it will cater only to a niche audience who would not wait for
suitable timing and just jump on to buy the extremely luxurious Evoque
with their open-ended budgets. Such is the hysteria about this sheer
luxury SUV in global market that the Range Rover Evoque’s production is
sold out for a full one year. This SUV is a robust and powerful avatar
by Land Rover unlike its previous cars that did not attract many takers.
Evoque is also the lightest, smallest and most efficient Range Rover
product in India. Range Rover Evoque will be pitted against the Audi Q7,
BMW X5 and Volvo XC90. Land Rover Evoque is launched in coupe and five
door SUV body styles. Land Rover Range Rover Evoque will be the only
luxury SUV in India to be available in three door guise, thus carving
out a distinctive and monopoly market for itself. Evoque will be
powered by a 2179 cc diesel engine mated to a six speed automatic
gearbox. A more powerful 1999 cc petrol powered Evoque has also seen its
dawn. A caboodle of latest safety, security and comfort features are
loaded on the Evoque. The Evoque SUV is available in three variants
each, Pure, Prestige and Dynamic, for the petrol and diesel engines. The
CKD assembly of the Evoque is scheduled to happen in India, in the
nearly 12 months. Jaguar-Land Rover has however allotted a limited run
of around 50 Evoque cars for the Indian market and it is from these cars
that existing bookings will be serviced
